Dans le contexte juridique canadien, l'équivalent anglais de «procédure» est souvent «proceedings»; d'où l'erreur que l'on fait souvent d'employer «procédures» au pluriel : «prendre des procédures» (pour «to take proceedings»), «instituer des procédures» (pour «to institute proceedings»).
